PIM-Check has been updated to version 1.2 We are delighted to inform you PIM-Check has been updated to version 1.2.

As a preamble

PIM-Check is an international prescription-screening checklist to detect potentially inappropriate medication (PIM), in patients typically admitted in general internal medicine. It was developed independently of any interest group.

This project included a multidisciplinary and international panel of experts in medication management, consisting of 23 internists, 17 medical specialists and 25 clinical pharmacists from Belgium, Canada, France, and Switzerland.

Statements included in this tool were developed using a four-step process, including literature review, semi-structured interviews, a two rounds Delphi method involving 40 internists and clinical pharmacists and a forward-translation back-translation process (French → English) for international validation and use.

This website is dedicated to healthcare professionals. Its content does not replace the judgment of physicians and pharmacists and their prescriptions and analysis liability.

PIM-Check has been updated to version 1.2.
